Barneys story

Barney is very good with other dogs and Cats, not bothered by rabbits.   Good with older children as younger can be too noisy for him.
He came to the UK a year ago in October/November and went into foster care, because he wasn’t progressing in his foster home, because he was so nervous and frightened of everything, we felt it best to move him into another less busy foster care. Where he made progress and became a happy little boy, still very nervous and scared. But he was happy
He was in foster for a good few months, before he was finally adopted.  Unfortunately after a few months of being in his new home, Sadly Barney became worse. He would hide himself away at every opportunity, unless he was going out.   So we felt it best he came to a foster home with other dogs to give him confidence.
He has been living now with 7 other dogs of all sizes.  And 1 favourite is a German Sheppard cross Romanian bitch called Sassy.   After a week of being in foster, Sassy had him following her to go to the toilet outside. He would follow her everywhere and still does.
Over time Barney has progressed very well, He is now meeting people and saying hello. He will walk well on his walks.  Road walks were a bit of a no at first because of the noise, but due to so much effort and help given he will now walk the pavements.
He will play with other dogs and is very gentle.
He is not bothered at all by cats as he lives with 3
Barney is a very special boy to the rescue. So we are only looking for the very best of home he can ever wish for.

We feel Barney would be best suited to a female adult household, as he can be a bit put off by men.
Barney would benefit from having a home with another dog, more so if your going to be out alot . He does love to play with his foster sisters and brothers a lot.

Not a busy household, No young children because of the noise.
He loves a crate and this is a must to have, because when he does feel nervous, this is where he feels safe.
If you feel you can give the help Barney needs and the love and your heart. Then please do apply to adopt him.  He is the most loving boy you will ever meet. Once you have met Barney. you will fall in love with him.
